The changing of the clocks always brings confusion. Forward or Back? somehow morphs into broader questions: Day or Night? Then, deeper questions: Past or Future? Here or Gone?
Last November I turned my bewilderment into a poem to be published in The Licking River Review, a literary/art magazine at Northern Kentucky University. The poem, These Short Days Confuse My Soul, appeared in the 2013 issue—before the clocks changed again.
