Editor Joseph Conlin sets a high bar. “Catch our attention with your theme, style of writing, and imagery,” he writes in the submission guidelines for SNReview. Conlin launched the magazine in 1999 under the title Starry Night Review. In the decade that followed, the name got shorter but the list of readers got much longer.
I’m thrilled that my eerie and eccentric elevator story, Anything Low Will Do, found a home in the 2012 fall/winter edition. I share the space with a host of wonderful writers, including Whitney Call, Adelaide B. Shaw, and Laura Soloman.
