The best thing about appearing in Women’s Studies Quarterly? Meeting so many brilliant, barrier-breaking poets, scholars, poets, and fiction writers. Several dozen gathered at The New School in NYC for the launch of the “At Sea” issue. I read my poem “Darwin’s Daughter” and got to hear Cindy Veach, VV. Ganeshananthan, Heather Dobbins, Liz Montegary, and others whose work I admire. Kudos to editors Terri Gordon-Zolov and Amy Sodaro.
